Leading German web-based procurement, RFQ/RFP and tendering platform, formerly my-con JSC, now a top Internet address for tenders, especially in the construction industry (www.altenda.com).

Reported to the Chairman of the my-con Board, than to the Owners Board, after having taken the company private. Oversee all functional aspects of the company.
• Led the company back to profitability and growth; increased share capital.
• Signed key customer contracts with Fortune 500 companies worth tens of millions of dollars:
▪ Built the sales, marketing and customer service teams to 25 employees;
▪ Reorganized the development team of six employees, plus contractors;
▪ Established key partnerships with Adobe, T-Online and other leading IT providers;
▪ Launched newly designed and featured platform in .net and certified products;
▪ Renamed the company from my-con to altenda and legally changed its form from JSC to Ltd. to prepare for integration into a holding structure.
DEUTSCHE POST SIGNTRUST PLC, Bonn, Germany 2001 – 2004

Managing Director (CEO)
Reported to the Chairman of the Owners Board. Directed total company operations. Initiated the sale of the company because it was a non-core German Post business. The attempt to sell the total company was strongly affected by the terror attacks and the cuts in IT budgets. It was decided to spin-off Signtrust from Deutsche Post Ltd. by July 1st, 2001.
Negotiated and closed 10-year contracts in the tens of millions of dollars:
- Built a new sales and marketing team of 60 employees plus contractors;
- Completed the first virtual trust center installations;
- Established a key partnership with Microsoft and other leading IT providers;
- Negotiated PKI Standard for Germany with the government;
- Signed first customer contracts that generated the initial revenues;
- Right-sized and re-integrated the company as an internal service provider; and
- Managed more than 800% in high-speed growth in 2001
- Helped develop and market a smartcard product for DEUTSCHE POST SIGNTRUST to secure the clients online transaction and online banking as well as a health insurance card; sales and distribution were installed in all German post offices and by contracting health insurance companies to deliver to their clients.

Reported to Board Chairman. Handled all external communications, plus investor relations.
- Redesigned the company’s strategy and received investor buy-in for a new business plan.
- Prepared the spin-off and IPO, started selection of a lead bank and prepared execution of the stock option plan; pre-marketing road shows doubled ASCOM’s share price.
- Led the merger of the former UBS division with ASCOM's IT security division and integrated 40 people into the newly designed organization.
- Conducted an intensive hiring campaign; grew the team to 60 associates.
- Delivered 1999 results 50% ahead of plan; produced $10 million in break-even sales:
▪ Built a new sales and marketing team; first OEM and VAR contracts; and
▪ Established a strategic partnership with SAP.

Reported to the Managing Partner - Europe/Latin America. Headed business development activities of the newly-founded Outsourcing Division of Andersen Consulting, together with two colleagues. Generated outsourcing opportunities in the area of accounting, logistics and IT. Presented outsourcing opportunities as a strategic option to CEOs.
- Grew revenues from $125 million to $385 million in three years; personal acquisition achievement was approximately $58 million by organizing key projects in Germany, France, Poland and with US clients, as well as in Czech Republic, Hungary and Belgium by virtual teams of between 5 and 50 team members.
AT&T / NCR, Zurich, Switzerland 1995 – 1996

Reported to the President & CEO, NCR Switzerland, which was downsized from 1800 to 900 staff after the spin-off from AT&T. Served as a board member deeply involved in the process and achieved the turnaround in 6 months with sales of $131 million. Led the Sales & Marketing organization, with P&L, and the restructuring committee to reconstitute the sales organization.

Country Manager and Director Sales & Marketing
Reported to the Regional Vice-President EMEA. Established AT&T’s Global Business Communication Systems business from its inception in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Held P&L.
- Built the business from the start and delivered profitable sales of $14 million; focused the product line on call centers, IVR/VRU and CTI for customers including US multinationals and Fortune 500 companies in Germany and Switzerland.
- Established FMCG channel distribution for consumer telecommunication products
- Captured 50% of the call center market share in banking; exceeded the plan with clients such as Deutsche Bank 24, Advancebank, and Postbank.
- Established retail sales of AT&T’s acquired Barphone in home improvement chains such as OBI and negotiated an OEM agreement with DETEWE, 1993
- Started up AT&T's multimedia business unit in Austria; generated $1 million within 3 months.
